Also, do you know how Ọzọlua dealt with the rebellious states, once they were retaken? Was he compassionate or punishing?

Another great narrative, thanks. Any ideas why Ọzọlua killed Ẹzoti's son? Did Ọzọlua suspect that he was involved in Ẹzoti's assassination?

That is a question that has baffled Benin Historians. Ẹzoti's was very young, possible around 10, he had nothing to do with his father's death and even though he was heir to the throne, it would have been very unlikely that he would have been crowned at such an early age.
